.... Allow me to introduce to you, hailing from the mean streets of Dayton, Ohio… My Latex Brain. With countless influences varying anywhere from Miles Davis to Slayer to that guy who invented the transistor and a fuck em swagger, My Latex Brain has developed their own contorted form of high energy rock-and-roll that they refer to as “hi-tech/lo-fi electro-punk.” Fueled by an explosive combination of driving rhythms, abrupt mood changes, and an ever-changing array of electronic gadgetry, this offbeat trio has become known to deliver a pulse-pounding live show, while establishing itself as a solid fixture in a city with a music scene that is steeped in indie rock tradition. Although difficult to classify, due to their sonic versatility and in-your-face style, My Latex Brain has garnered comparisons to a wide range of bands such as Ministry, Violent Femmes, Fantomas, Butthole Surfers, Primus, and Brainiac. As can be best-witnessed on their latest CD release, Pending Legal Action, My Latex Brain flaunts a unique songwriting style that blends youthful angst with technological curiosity to create a dark and distorted roller coaster of sound that remains “completely unrelenting in its rock status…” ¹
